We are Phillip and Sara Jones, owners of The Q Shack. We are a Match.com love story and finally found each other in 2022. We laughingly say that it took God that long to percolate us as individuals so that we were ready for each other and could appreciate what we each bring to our marriage. We moved to Wichita Falls, Texas in the spring of 2023 with the idea of planting deep roots in this community. We absolutely love Wichita Falls!!

 

We have the best little family!! Catherine and Ryan are grown and live in Amarillo and Denton. Catherine is a nursing student at West Texas A&M and Ryan is an HVAC technician/car tinkerer. We are the proud grandparents to Nimeria, Waffles, and Meat Cat, Cat's sweet Australian Shepard and Ryan's two kitties.  Whenever they have a chance to come home for the weekend, they help us create and test new recipes and you will see them at catering events or in the BBQ trailer with us.  We also have five fur babies - Seamus, Brantley, Smokey, Kane and Molly. Our sweet puppies are our fur children and are definitely spoiled.​​​​​​​​​​​​

 

The Q Shack is our dream project that began as a glimmer of an idea that Phillip had in 2014, and has crisscrossed the country with Phillip from California to West Virginia and then found a home in Wichita Falls, Texas. Part of what makes our BBQ unique is that the recipes have a subtle influence from different areas of the United States that are blended together to offer our customers our favorite BBQ flavors from all over the US.  ​Why Catering, a Pop-up Tent, and a Food Trailer? Food is our love language -- we love interacting with our customers and being a part of your special moments. We enjoy being a part of different community activities, and we like the flexibility of being able to go where we are needed. Combined, the Food Trailer and Pop-Up Tent allow us to set up anywhere, inside or outside, and catering let's us get to know the coolest people. ​Be on the lookout for us and come say hi!!
